About
I am an Assistant Editor who has been working in the industry for six years and has been mentored within the cutting rooms of Afterburn, Snow White, The Buccaneers, Slow Horses S1, S2, S4 & S5, Temple S2, and Roadkill to become a skilled and committed Assistant Editor. I am known for my meticulous attention to detail, adaptability in demanding, fast-paced environments and initiative to think outside of the box - as well as a nickname that has seemly stuck - "the Queen of Spreadsheets".
I edited videos in school - and then took the projects home to recut the film. I knew film & TV was for me and so I started working as a Post Production Runner after I finished school. Whilst running, I enjoyed becoming part of the community and attended editing masterclasses, networking events and volunteered for Raindance Film Festival.
I transitioned into scripted and was selected as an Edit Trainee for Screen Skills Trainee Finder and have since continued to develop my skillset and was promoted to 2nd Assistant Editor whilst working on Slow Horses. In my spare time, I enjoy developing training materials for Assistant Editors and Editorial Trainees such as the Assistant Editor's Toolkit and have guest lectured at Cambridge and Solent University.
I am an advocate for creating a healthier, fairer and more accessible industry in my role as Secretary of The Rough Assembly. I enjoy producing innovative projects to improve our industry and recently led the development of The Rough Assembly Webinars, the Assistant Editor's Toolkit and the revitalisation of our website to become a central hub for our post production community.
